Bound by Pearls in book 1 in the Atlanta BDSM Series by Sidney Bristol. We are introduced to several of the characters that are in the BDSM scene in Atlanta including Chris who is always playing mom to her younger sister Lucy and cleaning up her messes, we also meet Daniel who is involved in Lucy's latest mess. Lucy having been lost for a night by her Dom in a poker game calls her sister Chris and talks her into taking her place. Daniel tried to lose the poker game because he really didn't want Lucy for a night he is pleasantly surprised when Chris is her replacement.
This one night won in a poker game is the start to a hot and extremely sexy love affair between Chris and Daniel. Both have past relationship issues as well as the family boundaries issues that Chris has with her sister. While they struggle to define what they want from each other and test each other there is no doubt about the fiery chemistry between them. Daniel is a creative Dom and we are treated to several different but extremely arousing "scenes" played out between them. (I will never buy ginger for Chinese food again without thinking of this book).
With this being the first in the series we have some development of secondary characters, not nearly as much as I would have liked to see however we are introduced to some of Daniels friends and I have to assume they will be getting starring roles in future books. At times things we thrown at you as if you had a back story to place them in context however the explanations came later and that was just a bit bothersome.
Overall this is a very hot read with the promise of more to come in the series and a HEA for Daniel and Chris.
