She's either headed for jail...or for the best sex of her life.
Tarney Jensen has been crushing on sexy firefighter Ethan Reid, her best friend’s brother, since her sixteenth birthday. She knows acting on her attraction will ruin their friendship, but she can’t fight the temptation of his sweat-slicked skin as he works out. Every hot-blooded woman loves to drool over a sexy piece of man flesh, but watching one from the shadows of your porch when he has no idea you’re spying on him? Totally illegal.
For years Ethan has watched men go in and out of Tarney’s life, but how’s a guy supposed to put the moves on his kid sister’s best friend without looking like a perv? But when Tarney lets out an ear-piercing scream from her front yard, Ethan drops everything to rush to her aid. And finds out that the woman of his dreams has been sneaking a peek at his workouts…
When Tarney finds herself caught in the act of spying on her sexy firefighter next door neighbor while he works out she knows that she is in real trouble when Ethan doesn't want to scold her he wants to hold her and a whole lot more.
It's the often told tale of younger sisters best friend is hot for older brother or said best friend. The way Ethan and Tarney get together however is a funny twist and makes this not only a very hot read but funny and charming as well.
I found the love scenes to be hot however the internal monologue by Tarney seemed to be counter to the idea that they are so swept up in the moment that they will just not worry about the best friend/sister. It did seem just a bit rushed and could have been more developed over a few more chapters but still was an enjoyable read especially if you are looking for something that you don't want to invest a ton of time in. Perfect for waiting rooms or lunch break that sort of thing.
Ms. Summers has sprinkled her novella with puns and plays on words over the fact that Ethan is a firefighter. I enjoyed this read a great deal and wish it had been just a little longer. I look forward to more from Ms. Summers in the future.
