I had the chance to ask Vi about being a lawyer and now a writer...
"How did you make the jump from being a lawyer to writing romance?"
I actually didn’t make a jump, I’m just wearing two hats! I’ve always been an avid reader and thought about writing for a long, long time. One day I was in between books and I just sat down and started writing my own in a notebook. I never thought I would let anyone actually read it, but I wrote it anyway. It was for me and I had a great time doing it. Then I finally got the courage to let my best friends read it and she encouraged me to publish it. A few months later she convinced me to do it. I haven’t looked back since.
As an attorney I’ve always been a writer of sorts, just not the type of writing I publish now :0)
Excerpt:
I woke up to a warm hand on my naked back. His finger tips gently massaged their way down my spine, pausing as they reached the small of my back. He wasn’t sure if I was awake, and I knew he was deliberating waking me. My face was turned away from him, I secretly grinned as his fingers made a small circle, knowing he was weighing his decision. I knew what his decision would be before he did. A few seconds later, I smiled to myself knowingly when I felt his fingers resume their journey south. His lips gently found my neck and he murmured into my skin, his warm breath setting my body on fire, “Morning beautiful.”

AUTHOR Bio and Links:
I was born and raised in New York. I've been told more than once that I have a New York accent. It is pronounced cawfee, not coffee, right? I am one of six children, and come from a happy, albeit dysfunctional, family of "steps, halves, ours, theirs and his" children. I have three children, two girls and a boy. My son is the oldest and is a godsend. The girls, well, they are tweens and make me drink too much wine on occasion.
I am a boring attorney by day, and an exciting smut author by night! I actually consider myself a romance author, but my books definitely have steam in them, so I guess I am technically a romance-erotica author. I am also a HUGE reader and love Sylvia Day, Kristen Ashely, and EL James.
After years of thinking about writing my own book, I finally took the leap in 2012. I published my first book, First Thing I See, in January 2013, and was thrilled at the overwhelming success! Belong to You was published on April 4, 2013, and climbed its way to number 9 in the Amazon Erotica Best Seller's list in its first five days! The sequel to Belong to You is due out on July 1st, 2013.

As an attorney you would have cause to write and choose words well.
