Love Plus One is the follow up book to Diamond Girl, it can be read entirely as a stand alone book.

Andrea Smith takes you on quite a journey in Love Plus One, it is a roller coast of adventure, emotion, mystery and sensuality. Lindsey has had a pretty tough couple of years and the ones she is going through now aren't exactly a cake walk either. Taz is very dedicated to his goals get his doctorate and continue to move up in the FBI he is rather blindsided by his emotions for Lindsey.

It is important to note that this book does contain a rape scene, not a let's have a rape fantasy, not a dubious consent scene a vicious, brutal rape scene, if this is something that is an emotional trigger for you you may want to be aware of that. It is done as part of the story not as anything titillating.

The action moves pretty fast however we are still treated to characters that are well written and have emotional depth. The love and the sex as well as sexual tension is throughout the book and Ms. Smith also manages to give us a few laughs as well. Both Lindsey and Taz grow and learn together over the course of the book and the secondary characters are fun as well.

I am going to be sure to go back and read the first book Diamond Girl and I hope that the story will continue soon as there are things left unanswered still.
