September 11th and Hero's

11 year ago today the United States was awakened to a an entirely different world than the one they went to sleep in.
Today for me this has a whole new meaning, for the past 11 years I had lived over 2000 miles from where it all happened. I had a buffer. It was tragic and it was angering but it only touched my life in small ways, a person who was there here or a tragic loss of a military hero there.
Today I live about 25 miles from the Pentagon, I know people who work there, I could have seen the smoke from my house. It feels different

With that in mind and with this still being above all a book blog, I wanted to share with you some romance with military heroes.
What I wanted to share is a series by an AMAZING author, the Rescue Me series by Kallypso Masters features Marines as the heroes. The Rescue Me series is some of the best in the romance genre I think, it makes you feel you know the characters and you want to be a part of there lives. These men bond in the service to our country but they share another common bond. (tease much?)
Book one in the series is free at Amazon and other places you can pick up your e-books from. Kallypso will be here, yup here, On September 20th to promote the release of book 4 Nobody's Perfect. She will be having a give away for her tour and I (evil eyebrow wiggle) will also have a give away when she is here.

Now that gives you 9 days to go put Master's at Arms on your Kindle, Nook, i-phone,notebook, i-pad, laptop, android phone, or whatever you read e-books on to be acquainted with Kallypso and her work.

The release date set for Nobody's Perfect is September 14th, 2012, So really just a couple days from now. I hope that you will enjoy this series as much as I have and will be slavering for the next one as soon as you finish the one in front of you (just so I don't feel alone lol)

Please on this September 11th take a moment and reflect on what and who make our county great, protect us and let us live the normal lives we do. Give a thought to the victims of this horrible day, the men and women who are out first responders, the men and women who have volunteered to protect our country and most of all give a thought and a prayer for there families.
