JR Ward creates an amazing world with guardian vampires charged with protecting the race. They are amazing I would take any of them under my tree with a bow.

What is the scariest book you have ever read?
I have to say that the most frightened I have ever been is after reading Stephen King's Salem's Lot. I slept with the lights on for weeks after.
I read this for the first time in the late 80's I think it started my fascination with the paranormal :O)

I have to say vampires have come a long way since then! I am no longer afraid of them I now want to sleep with them LOL!!!
Who doesn't love The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward or isn't in love with Lestat from Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles? We have Eric and Bill from the Sookie Stackhouse series Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire saga. Who could forget Jean-Claude from the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K. Hamilton!

I have a whole list of new (to me) vampire books I can't wait to get my hands on from the Vampires in America series by D.B. Reynolds to the Love at Stake series by Kerrelyn Sparks, I have heard wonderful things about the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh.

I am finally reading the BDB!

Yup I am almost caught up!
If you have been living under the same rock I was the Black Dagger Brotherhood (BDB) novels by J.R. Ward are some of the most well written and compelling Paranormal romance(PNR) out right now. With a cast that induces vampires, sympaths, humans, lessers, the Scribe Virgin and the Omega, each novel focuses on the meeting, love and mating of one of the Brotherhood or a close tie to the Brotherhood and the women (and men) that love them.

There are currently 10 books out right now with the 11th scheduled for March 2013!
J.R. Ward has built an amazing world in which the vampire world and the world of the Omega/lessers exists side by side with the human world with the humans none the wiser.
It is an amazing body of work and is well worth the read, again I am not sure what rock I was under that I hadn't read them until now but if you haven't crawl your butt out and start! You will be glad you did.

I love that the Brothers are so popular that people have even made them into cartoons!
