Ten Favorite Series~ Part Two

To recap I am posting some of my favorite series that are out and are awesome that don't get mentioned like the should...

If you haven't heard of Charlaine Harris you must have been living in a cave. Not only have the Sookie Stackhouse novels been hugely popular the TV show based on them, True Blood, is talked about seconds after a new episode airs. The Lily Bard Mystery's are another series written by Ms. Harris and are just as good if not better.
Hey no throwing thing!

What do you get when you mix sci-fi and romance? Well if you're Cathryn Cade you get a compelling mix of the best of both genre's. Her Orion series is another "hey this is a new author" moments. She is also writing a series that is getting some time around the blogosphere lately called Hawaiian Heroes.

Dragon Shifters!
I really shouldn't have to say more than that to send you to this series and have you download it to your e-reader, however, I will tell you Michelle M Pillow is a prolific writer and you should looking into everything she writes not just the Dragon Lords series I have featured here.

Who hasn't read The Princess Diaries or seen the Disney move of the same name. Well did you know that Meg Cabot writes something less YA and more romance.
The Heather Wells series is written with an adult reader in mind and has a wonderful mystery style twist to them. LOVE LOVE LOVE these books!

Laura Kane's Vampire Warrior Kings series (in most cases I would wait until there were at least 3 books to call it a series but these are just to good to not share) is another to keep up on and not miss. Laura's Hearts of the Anemoi series is super hot right now and with good reason it's amazing but be sure not to miss this other series being written by Laura.

So there you have it, ten series some the step child of a famous series by an amazingly hot author, others you may never have heard of the author. These are all books I have read the series and give them my endorsement as well worth reading!

Ten Favorite Series~you my not have read!

I selected this post to be featured on Book Review Blogs. Please visit the site and vote for my blog!

I wanted to share with you some series that I have loved that you my not have heard of. Several are by authors who have other series that are extremely popular, these other series by them don't get a lot of mention.
So here they are in no particular order (because asking to pick a favorite proves to be impossible):

Most of us have heard of (and hopefully read) Laurann Dohner's New Species series but have you read her Cyborg Seduction series?
This is the first in that series Burning Up Flint. If you liked New Species you will LOVE Cyborg Seduction!

This is one by an author that may be new to you I know when I found the Pure Wildfire series Lynne Connolly was not someone I had read before (I was glad I found her). Great take on shifters in this one and a rock band yum!

Isn't the cover on this on to die for? Cheryl Brook's The Catstar Chronicles is an fantastic series about a race of aliens that are so amazing in bed that another race tries to wipe them out. I would be more than willing to test the theory myself if Cheryl is willing to send a cat my way ;O)

Jennifer Rardin is now up to #8 in the Jaz Parks series. Jaz and her Ăśber hot vampire CIA partner are a great read, falling into the more young adult catagory a lot of readers miss these. Stop and take a second glance at these they are well worth it.

I know you all know the other series by Felicity Heaton but have you read the Sons of Lyra series? I know I am offering you more sci-fi but I promise, you know Felicity this is well worth the read. Sometimes you have to take a break from vampires so come up for air and don your space suit.

Okay my fiends this is the first 5 later today I will post the second five.
As I said choosing a favorite would be like asking which child you love more (it totally depends on the day) :0)

Book Trailer for Beneath The Surface by Joya Fields

Review: Beneath The Surface by Joya Fields

She’s fighting to stay independent—he’s determined to protect her no matter what…

Brooke Richards survived the earthquake that took her parents and most of her leg, but she needs time to regroup. A trip to Florida for a state-of-the-art prosthesis and to visit her best friend Linda seems ideal. But the trip turns traumatic when Brooke witnesses Linda’s boat disintegrating in a fiery explosion.

Police officer Garrett Ciavello believes the blast was intentionally set to hide something Linda found on a dive. When Brooke offers her expertise in underwater archeology, Garrett accepts her help with the investigation. But since his fiancĂ©e’s death years ago, Garrett has become overprotective, and as they are drawn to each other, Garrett realizes he will risk anything to keep Brooke safe.

Brooke is fiercely independent. Garrett is fiercely protective. Will they heal each other’s wound and find a killer…before it’s too late?
~Blurb from Authors website~

When it comes to writing romantic suspense Joya Fields is a master at her craft. Things in Beneath The Surface start out with a bang, quite literally and the roller coaster of emotion never stops. I was drawn in by her ability to weave a story that both captured your heart as well as tugged at that little part of your brain that wants to solve the mystery first. Her characters are well written and easy to believe they are as real as you or I.

Brooke is a wonderful heroic woman that wont let anything slow her down, she experiences tragedy that we hope we will never have to live through however she does it and continues on to find love.

Garrett also has his share of life shattering experiences and that coupled with his job as a police man and you have an alpha male protecting what he feels needs him. He will do what it takes to keep Brooke from further harm.

I really can't say enough good about this book, I don't want to post any spoilers so I am just going to tell you what an amazing author Joya Fields is and give this book my highest rating of Chocolate and Roses

Welcome come one, come all

Welcome to my new book review blog, I have been reviewing for a couple other blogs for a while and I wanted the chance to put out something that was totally me. I read some of everything but most of it has a romantic element, sci-fi romance, western romance, suspense romance, paranormal romance, mystery romance...

I think you get the picture. That isn't to say that once in a while a straight up mystery or urban fiction review wont show up just to keep you on your toes.
I try to read some of everything from YA to Erotica (no not porn!) and will give you an honest opinion of the highs, the lows, the what were they thinking, and everything in-between.

So stop by often I plan to have author interviews, giveaways, character interviews, blog hops, and lots of reviews.
